preparing for a solo in recital
All students are strongly encouraged to prepare a solo for our recitals! Please take a moment to read through these guidelines to make the most of your solo.
Students wishing to play a solo, duet, or other ensemble work, should be in touch at least 3 weeks before any recital date to confirm and clear their selection. To add variety to our program, it is preferable that we don't double up on too many pieces—this can only be planned with advance notice of your selection. Students should also plan to rehearse with our accompanist well in advance of the recital date, and at the very least, schedule a private lesson—you'll want to be as prepared as possible to put on your best show!
